Ingatestone Equine Assisted Learning Centre

We are an approved EAQ centre and, as such, we are registered as an alternative education provider in Essex.

We specialise in supporting students who are finding mainstream school challenging and since starting five years ago have successfully worked with a wide range of young people to help them find their way in the world once again.

Falling out of school is stressful for everyone and quite often learners come to us with very poor self-esteem, anxiety, low concentration and lacking motivation.

In a very short space of time we can find a way to engage them and they quickly respond to being in our beautiful setting surrounded by ancient trees and a variety of animals.

If you are looking for a setting to support a young person who is finding school difficult then why not come and have a look round. Please contact us.

Give your child the tools to succeed

Horses

Horses provide us with unique learning opportunities due to their sensitivity to human non-verbal communication. Our horses are kept in as natural an environment as possible which makes them ideal learning partners. No prior experience with horses is necessary.

Forest Education

Our woodland provides opportunities for activities such as fire lighting, collecting logs, using tools safely, den building, looking for signs of wildlife etc. Learners are able to experience a freedom to explore and learn through their environment.

Activity room

We are able to offer a range of learner led activities in our well resourced base. Learners can enjoy activities ranging from painting, cooking, water play, model building, board game playing, construction toys and basically anything else that they might feel motivated to try.

Qualifications

As an EAQ Approved Centre we are able to provide the opportunity for learners to study for OCN London qualifications.

Tamara and Jane are both qualified teachers and so very experienced at presenting learning opportunities in imaginative ways.
