What is EAL?

Equine Assisted Learning  is a way of helping individuals achieve their goals through interaction with horses. There is no riding involved and the horses are carefully chosen so that they are safe to handle and be around.

What happens in a session?

Sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the individual and activities are led by the interests of the learner. They can vary in length according to need, from 2 to 6 hours, and can be delivered on an individual or small group basis. The sessions may include horse work, art and craft, bike riding, go carting, bush craft, cooking, dog walking and animal care. We are able to offer qualifications to learners, including functional skills, through EAQ's accreditation with the OCN London. We also go on visits off-site and have been fruit picking, climbing and on a boat trip to see the seals.
